Education provides young people with a sense of stability and structure in their life. It gives people the opportunity to take control of their life and increase their odds of better opportunities. Unfortunately, not every individual has the same chances of completing their education. Even now schools that have a higher concentration of low income and minority students receive less resources than those that don’t. Because of this we see less people of color continuing their education. 

Though we have seen an increase over the years of the number of students of color in college, there is still a gap that needs to be bridged. Resources need to be presented to help ensure that any child that wants to continue their education has the ability to do so.  

The Page Education Foundation was founded to support and inspire young people of color throughout Minnesota by providing financial support to college students’ academic goals while also fostering positive mentor relationships for children. The Page Education Foundation provides scholarships to over 8,000 students, which is over 500 students annually. These scholars have volunteered over 500,000 hours working with 50,000 children around Minnesota.
